Description

The design of the Drehgriffel is distinctly retro, because it’s a revival of a writing instrument that was around in the 1920s.

This edition is a tribute to the Bauhaus movement, and as its Director and pioneer of abstract art Wassily Kandinsky put it, ‘Everything starts with a dot’. What better way to do this than with a pencil?

‘Drehgriffel’ means ‘twist stylus’.

The hexagonal barrel is precision-milled aluminium and brass and employs a spring-loaded twist mechanism to extend the tip.

Dimensions: 127mm long, 9mm diameter, weighs 12g.

Refill with 0.7mm lead.
