mt Washi Tape

mt masking tape is the original “washi” tape from Japan, first created in 2008 by industrial tape manufacturer Kamoi Kakoshi co., LTD. Based in the historic town of Kurashiki, mt masking tape is at the heart of ancient tradition and culture as well as state of the art technology.

The tape is easy to stick on many surfaces — including wood, plastic, and metal — and can easily be removed without causing damage. Unlike Western paper mt masking tape is made using branches taken off trees, scrub, or other plants such as hemp, meaning the growing time is much shorter, and trees are not killed during the process. The adhesive is made from sustainably-harvested rubber, so, unlike plastic sticky tape, this product is highly biodegradable.
